The Impact Starting Guides

All you need to start your entrepreneurship journey for students & academics.

About

The Impact Starting Guides are two tailored resources for different target audiences: students and academics, with the aim to help them start their entrepreneurial journey. I was tasked with designing both guides in print and digital formats while aligning with the brand guidelines of Erasmus Enterprise and Erasmus University respectively.

My roles

  • Editorial design (print & digital versions)

  • Content structure and data visualization

  • Navigation and interactivity

The Impact Guide for Academics

Impact Starting Guide for Academics is an initiative to provide a resource meant to encourage researchers and academics get into entrepreneurship and serve as a guide. I was asked to design this guide both in print and digital versions.

To do that, I looked into the Erasmus University brand guidelines. Their visual identity already speaks well to an academic audience, so I used it as a foundation to give a sense of familiarity and that it was also about the university being part of that journey.

When I started working on the layout, one of the biggest challenges was the amount of content. There was a lot to cover and it needed to be readable, not overwhelming. I focused on structure, flow and clarity and I also redesigned some of the data visualizations to make them easier to read and more intuitive at a glance and also fit to their own versions of digital and print.

The Impact Guide for Students

Impact Starting Guide for Students is an initiative by Erasmus Enterprise, to make an introduction to the support available for students who want to explore entrepreneurship.

I was tasked to design this guide, after the version for academics, for both print and digital formats using the Erasmus Enterprise brand style as a base. This visual language was already familiar to student audiences due to its many student-related events, its location being on the campus and the branding reflects a more energetic tone.

My main focus was on keeping the layout clear, light, easy to follow and engaging. Since goal was to make the guide approachable, even for students with no prior experience in entrepreneurship, I adjusted the content flow to support quick scanning/URLs and worked on the visual structure so that it works smoothly in both formats.
